About The Chapel Of The Good Shepherd.

Chapel of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is an autonomous, interdenominational and evangelistic assembly, established to meet the spiritual and moral needs of the University community and serving as a training ground for future servants of God.CGS aims at evangelizing and discipling students at their prime age and meaningfully engaging the members of the University community and its environs with the word of God. Through the help of the Holy Spirit our mode of worship has been consistent with the basic doctrines of the apostles.

The Chapel stands in partnership with the University Administration to cater for the spiritual needs of University Community. Membership is open to all who uphold and affirm the doctrinal basis of the Chapel and who have completed the Chapel Membership registration form. While members of the Chapel are expected to be faithful to her, the Chapel encourages members to be worthy and active participants in their home denominations. .

VISION --That all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:2-3)

To bring the members of the University Community to know Jesus Christ personally as Lord and Saviour, to grow to become like Him in faith, Love, Unity and Purity for effective kingdom Service

Our Values:

  • Faith: But without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)
  • Love: Putting others first... caring, sharing and sacrificing (John 15:13).
  • Righteousness: Maintianing a right standing with God, believing in God, trusting Him and doing right no matter the cost (Romans 4:3, Daniel 3:16 - 18).
  • Discipleship:Becoming like Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20). Helping others become like Him..
  • Balance:Sound doctrine/stability (Ephesians 4:14). Being all things to all men (1 Corinthians 9:22).
  • Prayers:... for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7).
